Introduction

The following artifacts demonstrate my competencies, thus far, that directly relate to my career as a working interpreter. I have included my philosophy statement on the field of interpreting, both chronological and skills-based resumes, artifacts that illustrate each of my competencies (i.e. my skills in theory and knowledge, human relations, language, interpreting, and professionalism), and a summative reflection of my two years in Western Oregon University’s BA in ASL/English Interpreting program. The most recent addition is my short-term professional development plan post program that outlines goals for future development.  (Post graduation I will re-evaluate and modify this plan to guide long-term professional development.)
