Report for the week

Some of the things I've been working on lately...

There was a problem with the clearing house report where some of the dual enrolled students were being flagged as half time or less than half time depending on how many credits they had at western. The half-time and less than half time logic was overriding the dual enrolled code because of where it executed it in the script. This is fixed now, just needed to move all the dual enrolled logic to the end of the script.

I finished up the scarf degree supplemental for 2003-06 and validated the numbers. For now, any basic and advanced math endorsements are mapped as a single math endorsement until OUS adds the new endorsements to the data dictionary. There's also a problem with the way authorizations are being reported for the degree term. They seem to be hard-coded with spring term for all of them so that something I'll be working on soon to try to resolve. Unfortunately there's no easy fix for this since authorizations are date based (actually entered in as transcript comments) so I'll have to build in some logic to select a term based on date.

I did 2 powerfaids updates for Financial Aid this week. 12.1NA to 12.2N then to 12.2NA.

I worked on the admissions and end of term reports for Financial Aid this week. Financial aid used the EOT report more than the admissions report to load into powerfaids because it had all the data they needed. But I fixed it now so that both reports have completely different data that they output. Admissions report has admissions data (admit decision, admit term, residency, gpa) and a few other misc fields while the end of term has end of term data (credit hours per term, end of term gpa, etc). I cleaned up a lot of the code too and it runs a quicker.

I added fees and fee type to the online schedule of classes for the registrar's office. I also disabled the display of WL (waitlist) and XL (cross lists) in banner web course search via 2 gtvsdax rules: DISPWL = NO, DISPXL = NO.
