About Me

I have worked in the electronics industry for almost 24 years and have been in the military for close to 15 years of that time. I primarily have worked in RF communications and avionics and at various times with computers. I went to college at Western Oregon University where I studied network management (IT) and studio art with an emphasis in graphic design. I further merged the two fields in my study of web design.

I am a semi-professional digital photographer who has taken several thousand photographs. I have worked in a real darkroom with film as well as a virtual photo studio processing digital photos. Fine Art photographs are just that. They have been manipulated either in the darkroom or digitally to show what the photo-artist wants you to see. To make you see his or her vision of a place, event, or object; the photographer will manipulate or move objects and create lighting to better show the subject. I feel a desire to thrust some of my photography deep into the realm of fine art and enjoy every minute of the creation process. It is much like creating a masterpiece as if I were a painter with brush and a canvas.

Snapshots are documentary photographs taken of people or scenery to remember the moment.
Besides traditional mediums I am a web-artist, creating beauty in form as well as function. I have created many websites or neo-kinetic functional art over the last few years and believe that there should be greater demand for eye appeal on the web. Why does function preclude artistic expression?
