Gavin Keulks joined the Department of English at Western Oregon University in fall 1999.
His teaching specialties include British and Irish literature of the twentieth century, especially the post-World War II period. He also teaches courses in general literary history and criticism.
His scholarly highlights include a book, Father and Son: Kingsley Amis, Martin Amis, and the British Novel Since 1950 (Univ. of Wisconsin, 2003) and an edited collection, Martin Amis: Postmodernism and Beyond (Palgrave Macmillan, 2006). His first novel, tentatively titled Flight, is currently under agent review.
In January 2006 he also redesigned and became the new administrator of the Martin Amis Web, and in July 2008 he will become the new director of WOU's Honors Program.
