Gavin Keulks joined the Department of English at Western Oregon University in fall 1999. He currently serves also as the director of the WOU Honors Program.
His teaching specialties include British and Irish literature of the twentieth century, especially the post-World War II period. He also teaches courses in general literary history and criticism.
His scholarly highlights include a book, Father and Son: Kingsley Amis, Martin Amis, and the British Novel Since 1950 (Univ. of Wisconsin, 2003) and an edited collection, Martin Amis: Postmodernism and Beyond (Palgrave Macmillan, 2006). In January 2006 he also redesigned and became the new administrator of the Martin Amis Web.
Additional scholarly and teaching interests include the work of Salman Rushdie, Jeanette Winterson, W.B. Yeats, and James Joyce.
