I haven't blogged in 3 years!

I haven't had a good topic to discuss or the time to do any justice to it in quite some time. That being said...I ran across an article today that I felt was worthy of sharing. It covers the MAC vs Windows security debate and takes some interesting quotes from a large variety of security "experts".
I am constantly having conversations with people that have been told by their colleague or buddy that they need to buy a MAC. They want to know which is better, which is safer, which is easier. Well those are not simple answers and it is not as clear cut as one would hope.
I think the opinions expressed by the "experts" in this article help to clarify that a computer is only as safe as the operator who is using it. It is risky operating behavior that can prove to be the biggest factor in the security vulnerability game. It is about being aware of the world in which we are operating in. I wouldn't go to a strange neighborhood and just start knocking on doors in hopes of making a new friend or buying a product. It seems the anonymity of the internet has led to a lot of risky behavior that people seem to forget about the consequences.
Yeah a 1995 Honda Civic is one of the most frequently stolen cars, so I'm not going to park it in the bad neighborhood... unlocked.

If you have any interest in the MAC vs. PC debate then read on...
