Volunteer Teacher                                                                                              

September 2006

Boones Ferry Primary School, Wilsonville OR

Worked in a first grade classroom.

Experienced one on one academic teaching at the first grade level.

Observed a positive classroom atmosphere, where the instructor and students have a caring relationship.

Gave a lesson that related to a fun book while being appropriate to the curriculum.

Helped students develop a daily routine while transitioning to first grade.

Interacted and taught social skills to children at this elementary level.

September 2006

Boones Ferry Primary School, Wilsonville OR

Worked in a third grade classroom.

Experienced a diverse classroom setting with many students from different economic and cultural backgrounds.

Counseling an ESOL student outside the classroom after his crying became disruptive to the other students.

Lead small group projects as a part of an all third grade level grade art fair.

Supervised the relationships from student to student and help teach better social skills.

Became a positive role model and formed relationships with every student.

Experienced a variety of levels in students work. As I preformed, taught and graded papers and tests for students.

Led students in small groups that needed the extra push.
