Program goal
The goal of the Conditional Admission
program is to help students improve their skills in English writing, speaking,
and research methods for a successful academic experience in college.
Who should attend the Conditional Admission Program?
For international student admission, Western Oregon University requires a TOEFL score of 520 (190 computer score) for undergraduate admission. Students with TOEFL scores between 470 (CBT 150)and 519 (CBT 189) will be required to take some ESL classes in addition to their regular course work during their first term. This is the Conditional Admission Program (CAP). Students with TOEFL scores of 520 (190) and above may enroll in all regular courses their first term. The CAP Program is open to all international students to help them prepare for a successful academic experience.
