- 1998 - 2001 - Assistant director of evaluation and research, KLICK! (Kids Learning in Computer Klubhouses!, a federally funded community learning center), East Lansing, Michigan. Conceptualized, designed, executed, and reported both quantitative and qualitative research exploring the efficacy of the program.
- 1999 - 2001 - Co-founder and co-coordinator for the Beauty In the Teaching and learning of Science group (BITS), Michigan State University. Managed a group of students and faculty interested in connecting aesthetics and science.
