Below is a list of questions that are frequently asked during Family Weekend. Registration/Weekend Events

Is on-site registration available for this event?

Yes, on-site registration is available. Just come to the Werner University Center and go to the Registration Table on the first floor of the Werner University Center.

  • On-site registration will be available on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 4:00-8:00pm.
  • On-site registration will be available on Saturday, February 10, 2019 from 8:00am-3:00pm.
  • Cost for On-site registration is Adult: $45 Teen: $20 WOU Student: $15 Child under 12: Free


What forms of payment are taken for on-site registration?

Cash, Check (made out to Western Oregon University), Visa, or MasterCard 


I did not purchase a ticket or would like to purchase additional tickets for the Double Header Basketball game. Can I purchase tickets on-site?

WOU athletic tickets can be purchased at the WOU Wolves Ticket Office of the New PE building on the day of the athletic event (Saturday, February 9). For additional information, call the ticket office at 503-838-8917.

What events during the 2019 WOU Family Weekend are not included in the event registration price?

ACTIVITIES THAT CAN BE ADDED TO YOUR REGISTRATION FOR AN ADDITIONAL COST INCLUDE:
  • Eola Hills Winery Excursion

    • Transportation to the Rickreall Tasting Room from 11am-3pm on Feb. 9th, 2019
    • Wine tasting fee not included in ticket price
    • Cost: $5
  • Double Header Basketball Tickets

    • Saturday, Feb.9th, 2019 at 5:15pm and 7:30pm
    • Purchase tickets to both the women’s and men’s basketball games for the cost of a single ticket!
    • Cost:
      • WOU Students: Free with student ID
      • Adult, Senior, & non-WOU Student: $5

If I want to register additional visitors/individuals, where can I do that?

You may register as many individuals as you wish for Family Weekend through your initial registration. If you would like to add individuals to your registration after your initial registration please contact the Coordinator for Organizations and Activities, Kelsey Elam-Geuting at elamgeutingk@wou.edu or call at 503-838-8514 or the Office Coordinator, Jessica Roberts at robertsjr@wou.edu or call at 503-838-8064. Please note that prices may differ depending on the registration date. 

It’s Saturday morning and I have not picked up my registration tickets/information, where should I go?

Go to the Registration Table in the lobby on the 1st Floor of the Werner University Center.

How can my special needs be accommodated? (Handicapped parking, dietary restrictions, ect.)

If you require an accomadation to participate in Family Weekend, please he Coordinator for Organizations and Activities, Kelsey Elam-Geuting at elamgeutingk@wou.edu or call at 503-838-8514 or the Office Coordinator, Jessica Roberts at robertsjr@wou.edu or call at 503-838-8064. Or you may contact the Office of Disability Services at ods@wou.edu or call for voice at 503-838-8250 or for VideoPhone at 503-512-5258. Handicap accessible parking is available in all lots.

Dietary restrictions: Please ask WOU Catering during the event (or staff that are available) if your needs were not accounted for during registration. 

If I lose my name tag, where can I get another one?

The Registration Table can provide you with a replacement name tag.

Are tickets needed for every event?

Not all events, but know that your Family Weekend name tag, which you will receive with your materials at check-in, will serve as your admission ticket to all events except where separate tickets are required as well as the Wine Excursion and basketball games. Make sure to wear your Family Weekend name tag to all events or you may be denied admission.

How many people typically attend Family Weekend?

Average attendance for this event are 200 family members and WOU students!

Is there any way to share my feedback from the weekend?

We will have an online evaluation that will be emailed out after Family Weekend.

I did not purchase a ticket or would like to purchase additional tickets for the WOU theater production, Speech and Debate. Can I purchase my ticket for this show on campus?

Yes, theater tickets can be purchased at the Box Office located in Rice Auditorium Monday through Friday from 12pm to 4pm. Or you may contact the Box Office at boxoffice@wou.edu and 503-838-8462. This production is held in the Black Box theater so tickets are limited. Please purchase yours early.

 

Parking

Do I need a parking permit to park in WOU’s parking lots?

Parking is free during the weekends and does not require a permit.

What parking lots should I look to park in for this event?

Lots G & J are reserved day and overnight parking for Family Weekend 2019. Lot H is available for day parking only. To locate these lots, please use this map.

Bookstore

If I am interested in going to the WolfStore (WOU Bookstore), what are the hours during Family Weekend 2019?

The WolfStore will be open from 8am-5pm on Friday, Feb. 8th and from 9am-3pm on Saturday, Feb. 9th. The WolfStore will be closed Sunday, Feb. 10th.
