Scholarships for Entering Music Majors
New student scholarship auditions (baccalaureate and graduate) will be held on Sunday February 8, 2015 at Smith Recital Hall on the Western Oregon University campus. All application materials must be received by February 2, 2015. Music scholarships for entering music majors are awarded on the basis of a completed application, a successful audition or interview, accumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher from a high school or college, and two letters of recommendation. Arrangements can be made to hear recordings and/or view video tapes of applicants who are unable to audition on campus (Graduate students please refer to the audition requirements for the MM degree). Applicants are encouraged to apply for admission to the university prior to the audition since scholarships cannot be awarded to students who have not applied for admission.
