Summer Conference Facilities and Meeting Spaces

From a variety of housing options available to summer conference attendees to the Health and Wellness Center to Athletic Fields to our award-winning Campus Dining services, the campus at Western Oregon University’s central valley location serves as an excellent venue to serve any sized conference group.

Our Summer Conference Staff is standing by to work with you to book the facilities that you will need and coordinate your meeting schedule with an appropriate space to accommodate your needs. Campus Dining can set up dining and Catering services to meet the most discerning tastes or specialty needs for your group. Keep in mind that the following listings are to give you access to an overview of just some of the facilities and spaces that are available to you and your conference group while attending a conference at Western Oregon University. If you don’t see what you need or when you are ready to book facility spaces, please contact the appropriate Conference Staff Member.


Housing facilities available to summer conference guests range from traditional residence hall rooms to double occupancy suites to 4 bedroom, 2 bath apartments – you choose what best suits your group! In addition there are smart classrooms available with seating capacities up to 100 individuals.

Located in the center of campus, the Werner University Center serves as a hub for students, staff, administrators and faculty alike. Retail dining reastaurants are located here as well as many meeting spaces and rooms – all available to summer conference attendees.

Campus Dining has restaurants available in two main locations on campus. Residential dining is located within the residential complex at the Valsetz Dining Hall and many summmer conference groups will be fed here. Retail dining is located within the Werner University Center and is comprised of Caffe Allegro, The Wolf Grill, Western Deli and the Wolf Express convenience store. Finally, Western Oregon University Catering stands at the ready to serve what you need – when and where you need it!

A wealth of information – both in print and electronically awaits you and your group at Hamersly. If you can’t find what you are looking for, one of their friendly staff members will help you in your quest! Some meeting spaces are also available within Hamersly Library.

Classroom space, an indoor running track, and indoor basketball courts. A climbing wall, fitness and weight training equipment and general purpose rooms. The Aquatic Center, locker rooms and racquetball courts are ALL housed within the Health and Wellness Center and available for use by summer conference attendees. (Additional fees apply)

In addition to the “New” PE Building, Western Oregon University also has fields available through Campus Recreation and Soccer, Softball and Baseball fields available as well as the outdoor track and stadium that are part of McArthur Field.

Included within the Health and Wellness Center, the Wolverton Memorial Swimming Pool has been updated and also offers a therapy pool.
