Venues are organized under three headings: general fiction, genre fiction, and regional fiction. While most of the venues accept manuscripts year round, several of the listed venues are seasonal in their calls. As a rule, you should read current and previous issues prior to submitting your work to a particular venue (i.e., know your audience). Additionally, many of the venues are not limited to calls for fiction: you may see calls that include artwork, creative non-fiction, photophraphy, poetry, and video.
