These guidelinesare very similar to those on the previous scanners in ITC001..
- Put you image face down on the scanner
- Connect to the server "mydocuments" or "public_html" (see Basics)
- On the computer screen double on Macintosh HD in upper left
corner
- Double click on Applications
- Double click on Epson Scan
- In the next window, upper right corner by Mode, choose Professional
Mode
- Click on Preview in the lower left of the screen
- Wait while the scanner automatically previews your image
- Using the mouse, drag a rectangle around the portion of the image
you wish to scan
- On the appropriate panel:(or use defaults)
• Set the Resolution: 72dpi for online use, 200 dpi for
printing
• Set the Scale: if you plan to print it larger than the
original, set the scalle to 200%, 300%, or whatever is appropriate
(always scan to the final size, do not expect to drag your picture
bigger after it is scanned)
• Scan to Folder: set to desktop
• Name: give your scanned image a name
• Format: set to JPEG
- On the left-hand panel, click Scan (bottom right)
- Your scanned image will be saved in the location you selected
(Pictures is default). Move your image into your "username"
or "public_html", or onto your memory stick. You may
now open it on any computer in Photoshop to make adjustments.
You will find your image in "mydocuments" or "public_html"
or on your memory stick.
