Capturing Images from the Internet

Option 1

  1. Open a browser such as Firefox, Netscape or Safari
  2. Go to Google.com
  3. Click on the Images button
  4. Type a search term in the Search box to locate the image you want
  5. Double-click on an image to see a larger version
  6. When you find an image you want, hold down the Ctrl key and click on the image (Note: on a PC, click the right mouse button).
  7. Select "Download Image to Disk"
  8. Clhange the path to save the image to the Desktop or to your network folder or you memory stick.
  9. Change the name to something you will recognize.
  10. Click SAVE

  11. Note: If you are currently working in another document and want to insert your image in the document, you may select "Copy Image," then toggle back to your open document and choose Edit>Paste.

Option 2

  1. Follow steps 1-5 above
  2. Click on the image and drag it to the desktop
  3. Click on the name and change it to something you will recognize
  4. Drag the image into your network folder to save for future use

  5. Note: You can also generally drag an image directly from the Internet onto an active document.
