Thursday mornings we will start doing personal Development again. We will be looking for new ideas and researching various hardware/software to see how we may be able to use it to further grow our department.
Today Bill Michael and I were trying to hotwire one of the new cameras. We spent most of the time trying to label and diagram the pin outs of the power cord. Using a voltmeter and some cunning ingenuity we found a pattern that made it easy to layout the wire patterns. Most cables were color coated and were either solid or had a stripe on them. We separated the wires from top and bottom, and wrote down the color of the wire to the pin location we gave predetermined numbers to.

During this staff Time I also went and got us a few laptops from Rick that were in the PDR pile. These laptops, although aging still had some life in them. They were 1.2 GHz Dells. We are planning on using them as RA loaners and possible for housing when they need to go to places like conferences or other off site locations.
