North Marion Varsity Softball

Capital Conference Champions 2008!

For the first time in 18 years the girls varsity softball team has made it to the state tournament under the coaching staff of head coach Carl Kordenat and assistant coach Scott Casto. Through hard work, dedication, and the love of the game these girls were able to work past diversity and did the unexpected, finishing the league season 15-3 with an overall record of 19-6. The girls lost in the quarterfinals of the 2008 State Tournament to Henley 1-2 in 7 innings.

In the following 2009 season, the North Marion softball program is expecting even more success despite losing two varsity players to graduation.

The girls are also selling advertisement banners to display on the varsity and jv softball fields from March until October. These banners will be seen by spectators of all ages and from all over the valley.
