Journal of Modern History subscription

The publisher of the Journal of Modern History (The University of Chicago Press) has notified us that they are changing their pricing model starting in 2007. For the past several years, we have enjoyed free online access to the electronic version of this journal on the basis of our continuing print subscription. The publisher is no longer offering this option. I need a response from you by December 8, 2006 about how you would like us to handle this subscription.

For your information, we currently get the online full-text (text only, no images) of this journal from 1990 to one year ago through the Academic Search Premier database, and we anticipate that this access will continue in 2007 and beyond. We have access to back issues of this journal in print and through JSTOR (currently through 2000, will remain 5 years behind current).

Options:

1. Continue print subscription and give up electronic access to current issues of this title.

2. Discontinue print subscription and provide electronic access only for current issues of this title.

3. Discontinue subscription entirely in order to fund a subscription to a different journal (suggestions encouraged; value of subscription is approximately $245).
