Twenty-five percent of the grade is for in-class and take home assignments.  Take-home work will invariably require you to write essays, which have to be word-processed/printed, double-spaced, spell-checked, grammatically correct, and with reference sources listed.

Every Monday of Weeks 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9, you will bring to class a one-pager in which you write about one aspect of the readings (identified for that week) that caught your attention, and why it is important that the class discuss and understand that.

Two tests will be together worth forty percent.  Details on this in the class.

The final exam, which will be comprehensive, will be worth the remaining thirty-five percent of the grade.
