Accents:

Prononciation:
http://actor.loquendo.com/actordemo/default.asp?voice=Juliette:  You can type in anything you want in French and hear a voice say it.  Good for checking your pronunciation.
http://phonetique.free.fr: very good site with simple discrimination exercices.  For example you will hear two words and have to decide if it is the same word, or two words with different sounds (but sounding similar for English speakers)
http://www.languageguide.org/francais/: this site works like a picture dictionary with pronounciation of words.  Also some grammar and texts.

Langage:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/french/: the BBC has a lot of good activities to learn French, at different levels
http://www.polarfle.com/: this is a detective story which aims at teaching French.  You can see the instructions in English.

Verbes:

Musique:
http://www.fnacmusic.com/: La Fnac is the equivalent of Borders or Barnes and Nobles in France.  They now have a site where you can download music (if you pay…) but you can hear extracts from a lot of French artists.
http://www.europe2.fr/: Europe 2 is a music radio.  To listen to the radio live, click on “radio” in the left corner, and select “écoute Europe 2”, then in the box select “j’écoute Europe 2 en live”.
http://www.lyricstraining.com/: A site which shows music video and lyrics at the same time, allowing you to fill up the blank words in the songs at different levels. A good way to discover some contemporary French singers too. Select "French" if you only want to view French songs.

Cinéma:
http://www.allocine.fr: if you want to see movie trailers, either from French movies or dubbed American movies, click on “ Bandes Annonces”

Médias:
http://tv5.org: TV5 is a francophone TV channel.  You can watch the news, or watch the trailers of new Francophone movies (“les bandes-annonces”)
http://lemonde.fr:  the most important French newspaper “le monde”.  Not easy to read.
http://www.radiofrance.fr/chaines/france-info/accueil/: “France info is a continuous information channel on the radio.  Again, not easy to understand.  If you want to hear what is on the air click on “écouter le direct”.
http://www.tf1.fr/: French TV channel.  If you want to find out about the equivalent of “American Idol” in France, click on “programmes” and choose “Star Academy”.  They also have music videos, and of course the news.

Tourisme:
http://www.paris-26-gigapixels.com/index-fr.html: If you would like to have a good view of Paris and its monuments, this is a great site to navigate the capital from above as if you were flying over the roofs.
