Critical film series

Praxis and Sociology will present two excellent films this Wed., March 8. The first is a film called ZAPATISTAS and it is about the ongoing revolution in Chiapas, Mexico, led by the mysterious and charismatic Sub-commandante Marcos. We will show this film at NOON in the Santiam Room of Werner. The second film is called THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE, which is an exciting documentary on the WTO protests in Seattle (1999). It was done by independent film makers and has remarkable and disturbing footage, and includes music/score by Rage Against the Machine. This second film will be shown at 5:00 in the Santiam Room.

You are cordially invited to join us for one or both films.
