Pacific Rim
This class is an advanced survey of the Pacific Rim region.

Objectives: By the end of the term students will:

  • Have a broader knowledge of the Pacific Rim as a major world region.
  • Be able to locate the Pacific Rim in relationship to different forms of globalization.
  • Have a greater understanding of the dynamic and fluid nature of geographic regions and their definition.
  • Be better able to think critically and geographically about the world.

Format: This class is organized into discussions of assigned readings and lectures.
