Attendance & ParticipationNeither attendance nor participation is a required element of the class, but missing class sessions will obviously have an impact on your ability to finish the graded work. More directly, regular participation and attendance will earn you benefit of the doubt on your grade at the end of the term. That is, if you participate and attend class on a consistent basis, and you are close to or on the border between two grades, you will get bumped to the higher grade. In exceptional cases, attendance and participation may mean as much as an additional 2-3 points at the end of term.
