The general rule for introductory college courses is that students should expect to devote 2-3 hours of preparation outside of class for every credit hour earned. For this class, that means 8-12 hours per week. Most importantly, you should read actively, not passively. Think about what you're reading. Take notes. Be prepared with thoughts and questions.
