Guten Tag und willkommen zu Deutsch an WOU. Teaching is my passion and students are family. I know what it takes to learn a language - as a teen I moved from Germany to France and then to the States and had to learn French, then English. After graduating from UC, Berkeley with degrees in German and Political Science I earned a teaching certificate, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in German at the U of O. Family drama, the role of women, and culture are among my interests. My husband and I have two children and three grandchildren but are owned by two cats and various outdoor critters. We are avid environmentalists and fitness enthusiasts. Four nights a week I teach Jazzercise in Salem.
