Medieval European Literature

Eng 341W (Writing Intensive) this year will focus on the "Otherworlds" of the medieval period:  the Christian Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise; the Celtic supernatural Otherworld; and the "other" part of the world outside familiar Europe.  While focusing on this theme, we will examine representative genres from the period.
