Grading :
1. Participation: based on your presence, your (relevant) vocal contributions
on a regular basis, informal in-class writing, and your oral genre &
project presentations in class. 20%
2. Exam: Final exam, scheduled for FRIDAY of finals week (Mar. 24th),
10-noon. PLAN NOW TO STAY; EARLY EXAMS WILL NOT HAPPEN!!! 15%
3. Genre Report: 15%
4. Paper on Dante: 25%
5. Outside Reading Project: 25%
Note 1: Attendance is important; if you accumulate more than three absences
over the term, you should consult with me about documentation from the
health center or other physician. Over three absences will negatively
impact your course grade.
Note 2: Except for a bit on the final, there will be no extra credit.
If you have time to do extra credit, you have time to do a good job on
the required assignments.
