Polis has received an honorable mention and will be shown at the prestigious Bourges electro-acoustic festival in France, June 2006.

Polis will be shown at the 2006 SEAMUS national convention in Eugene, OR.

"West" for flute and percussion, a part of the Due East ensembles "Cardinal Points" commissioning project, will be premiered in Fall 2006

78705 for two pianos will be performed at WOU in March 2006.

Past events:

Breath for clarinet and computer was premiered at the 2005 SEAMUS convention in Muncie, IN.  It has since been performed at Imagine 2 at Memphis University [10/2006] and at Western Illinois University. [11/2006].  Also presented at Imagine 2 was Polis for digital video and surround sound.

Polis was selected for performance at Sound Image Sound at the University of the Pacific September 9, 2005.

Heavy Circles for solo marimba is available through Keyboard Percussion Publishing, and has be released on the "Music for Hammers and Sticks" CD this fall on the Innova recording labelHeavy Circles was performed April 11th at Carnegie Hall in New York as a part of the "Music for Hammers and Sticks" concert.  Other performances have included a showcase concert of Thomas Burritt and the So Ensemble at the 2003 Percussive Arts Society International Convention, the Eastman School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory,  The University of Texas, the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Austin Texas' Dia De Los Meurtos celebration. 

Pulse, a joint commission from the Texas Memorial Percussion Ensemble and The University of Texas, was premiered at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention November 13, 2004.  It will be available through Keyboard Percussion Publishing in early 2005 and is scheduled for release on the Innova recording label later that year.

Polis for digital video and 5.1 surround sound is now showing at the Lafayette Museum of Art in Lafayette, IN.

"Visions", a collaboration with Ball State University English Professor Mark Neely, will be premiered by the Ball State Chamber Choir in February 2005.

Idyll for two channel digital video and 4.1 digital surround sound, another collaboration with artist John Fillwalk, is showing at the Carnegie Performing Arts Center in Covington, Kentucky, September 10 through October 25, 2004

Dr. Harchanko's work "Chaco Skies" for percussion and computer received its North American premiere at the National Conference of the Society of Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS) which was held March 13-15, 2003 at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.  Performing the work was percussionist Lisa Nicol of Aberdeen, Scotland and the composer himself at the computer.
