Mammals
Mammals:
-There are more than 4,00 different Species od mammals.
-Mammals vary in size. The smallest mammal is a hog-nosed bat which weighs 0.05 onces. The largest mammal is the Blue whale which can weight up to 150 tons!
-Mammals can live on land or water.
-Some mammals that live on water include the : Blue-whale, the killer whale, sea lions, otters, seals, dolphins.
-Some mammals that live on land include: THE HUMAN, cows, cats, bunnies, bats, elephants and horses.
All mammals:
- Are vertabrates ( which means they have a backbone or spine)
- Are endothermic ( warm- blooded) meaning they can regulate their own body temperatures which allows them to live in all climes of the world.
- have fur/ or hair on their bodies.
-have live births
-produce Milk to feed off-spring.
