Birds:
-birds are the ONLY animals that have feathers.
-Feathers are made out of keratin, similar to what hair and nails are made out of.
-Birds have hollow bones which allow them to fly because they are aerodynamic.
-There are over 9,800 known bird species.
-birds are endothermic meaning that they are warm-blooded and can regulate their own blood.
-Birds reproduce by laying eggs.
