Economy: Japan is the richest nation in Asia, followed closely by China. Asia is full of natural resources, especially petroleum, fish, water, and metal. Japan produces much of the worlds's electronics and a lot of the automobiles. China (along with some other countries likeTaiwan and India) provides cheap labor, making it the top country in the world for manufacturing.

Climate: The very northern part of Asia (mostly the top part of Russia) is very cold tundra and subarctic. The very Southern part of Asia, mostly the lslands and peninsulas along the coast are tropical wet climates, which produces a rich rainforest. The majority of Asia is arid, hot, dry desert lands although it also includes highlands, tropical wet and dry and humid continental.

Animals: Asia has many unique animals like the Asian elephant, the Bengal tiger, the Komodo dragon, panda bears and the Japanese Coy. It also has animals like the Javan rhinoceros and many kinds of fish, birds and insects.

Language: Asia has many languages. There are 600 languages spoken just in Indonesia alone, and 415 in India. More than 100 are in the Phillipines and China has many as well. Most of Western Asia speaks Arabic and each country on the Eastern side speak different languages. Some of these languages include: Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, Thai, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Russian and Hindi.

Food: The NorthEastern Asian countries eat a lot of rice, chicken, beef pickeled cabbage, curry, seafood(including octopus, raw fish and seaweed), teas, soy sauce, vinegars and oils, garlics, deep-fried foods, grilled/sauteed food, and hot chili spices. The SouthWest area eats foods like flatbread, mutton, kebabs, hot peppers, black pepper, cloves, strong spices, butter oil and chapati (made from wheat and barley). The SouthEastern part of Asia uses a lot of stir-frying, steaming or boiling, along with mild spices and seasonings. They love to use citrus juices and herbs like basil, cilantro and mint. Fish sauce, lemon grass and tamarind is added for extra flavor.

People: Every country in Asia has different kinds of people.

The three main religions of Asia are Muslim, Buddhist and Hindu. Many claim to be atheists or nonreligious, denying the existence of God and choosing to not follow a religion. There are also many Christians and Jewish people in Asia.

Education is very important to people in Asia, especially in China and Japan.

China is a communist nation, which means the government has complete control on religion, economy, education and careers. They also have control over many of the smaller nations.

Hobbies of people in Asia vary across the nations--but include: baseball, soccer, gymnastics, swimming, electronic games, movies, celebrations, making music, traveling and handicrafts.
