Fall 2011 is my first semester at Western Oregon University. For the past 3 years I have been working at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, a public liberal arts college in St. Mary’s City, MD.

I was able to recruit some very motivated undergraduates at St. Mary’s to participate in my research on sensory neurons in leeches. In the past, I have also worked on nudibranchs (sea slugs), and am interested in returning to work with slugs and snails in the future. I look forward to forming an active lab at Western Oregon with students who are interested in neurobiology, sensory biology, and animal behavior.
