Enjoy the journey of learning

When I Sit by the Water. . .

The images of water reminds me of the life sustaining growth we gain from pushing ourselves to learn.  What we learn changes who we are and how we think, speak, and teach.  Lifelong learning…we are never to old.

RESOURCES

I work in the Deans office for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences supporting the Interdisciplinary Studies Major and Academic projects for the Dean.  I have really enjoyed getting to know the faculty in LAS, they work hard to support the students here and are creative in ways they share their knowledge.

I started working in higher education in 1995 in a very rural area in Eastern Oregon  and moved back to the Willamette Valley in 2002. After finishing my Masters degree in Adult Education in 2003,  I began an interesting journey here at WOU.  For almost 19 years I have been involved in providing accessible educational opportunities for both local and distant students.  Most of my work recently involved working with graduate level teacher education programs, online, on site, professional development, and program management.

“Treat people as if they are what they ought to be  and you help them to become what they are capable of being.” Goethe
