Today, the Health and Counseling Center held a seminar in the Willamette room about succeeding in college with Asperger’s Syndrome (AS). If you or someone you know is affected by this syndrome, you know the struggles that can be faced, and how important it is to know how to deal with those struggles.
Jaime Silva and Scott Perfect explained to students and staff today the barriers as well as strengths of people living with this disease and steps to success as a college student with AS. In addition to that, they gave information about how to get the help you need on campus. There are resources available here at WOU that can be of great assistance to people living with AS, and the goal of this seminar was to let people know that there is in fact support, and that you are not alone.
