BANNER is a software product of SCT inc. WOU uses several modules of BANNER: FIS (Financial Information System), SIS (Student Information System) and HRIS (Human Resources Information System).

BANNER is an application developed to run on Oracle's Database Management System. The database is located in the Chancellor's Office at OUS in Corvallis. Faculty and staff connect to the database through their web browsers using the Banner INB application.
FIS is used for accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, budgeting, and so forth.
HRIS is used for payroll, benefits, and related functions.
SIS is used to register students, print grades, generate class schedules, and create reports with student data.

New Banner Accounts and rights – are managed by the Banner Systems Auditor, Faye Whitenack. Please contact her at 88172 to create new accounts or requesting changes in access. Also contact her to request reports from SIS. FIS and HRIS reports are the responsibility of Brian Wendler, who may be reached at 88033.
