The EEC has an extensive history of providing assessment and consultation services to local education agencies and students with disabilities and in rural Oregon. EEC staff will travel to rural areas of the state to assist IEP teams in diagnosing children.
Mission:
The mission of the EEC is to:
- Improve the educational outcomes for children and adults with disabilities
- Provide diagnostic/prescriptive services
- Provide consultation services to parents and school personnel
- Provide training and on-site assistance to school and agency personnel

Education Evaluation Center Location:
Services are generally provided at the Education Evaluation Center, located on the campus of Western Oregon University, approximately 15 miles west of Salem on highway 99W. Staff members also travel to schools and agencies throughout Oregon when there are two or more individuals to be evaluated.
