Our WOU Mascot!
History
Football has been played at WOU since 1893, but until 1928, there was no specific team name. The Wolf mascot thus began at Western Oregon University (at the time called Oregon Normal School) in November of 1928. Wolfie is a fixture of WOU campus events and loves hearing from his fans! Reserving Wolfie
Students on campus are able to request Wolfie's attendance for their student organization activities.
In order to contact Wolfie, either come to the WUC Information Desk at least a week prior to the day you need him. The other option would be to send Wolfie an e-mail directly from this page on the left. Wolfie's "assistant" will contact you with Wolfie's schedule and more specific information.
