You have been out of high school for at least one year. Now What?


Whether you spent last year here on campus with us or are transferring to Western Oregon University from another school,
we are glad to have you here! But, what ARE the opportunities, advantages and choices that await you as an Upper Class student choosing to live on campus?


Centrally sited on the beautiful campus of Western Oregon University, you will find a full range of options for
on-campus living while attending school here. Take advantage of the convenience and the value that living on campus
can provide for you.


You will meet new people, experience new ideas and face new challenges - but with these challenges will come success -
both socially and academically. In addition, you will have the opportunity as an on-campus resident to devekop leadership
skills and influence on-campus living policies through involvement in hall government and the Residence Hal Association.


Overall, statistics have shown the following to be true for residence hall student vs. their commuting counterparts:


  • RESIDENCE HALL STUDENTS: CARRY & COMPLETE A HIGHER CLASS LOAD.
  • ARE MORE INVOLVED IN ACTIVITIES & ORGANIZATIONS.
  • SPEND LESS TIME & MONEY COMMUTING & HAVE FEWER PARKING HASSLES.
 
  • HAVE A HIGHER RATE OF GRADUATION.

  • REPORT GREATER SATISFACTION WITH THEIR COLLEGE EXPERIENCE.
