Maaske Hall
Maaske Hall began its' service as a residence hall at Western in the 1950's, and has continued in it's role as a residence hall from the late 1980's through 2006 as residential space for the Oregon Police Academy. From 2006 until 2008, Maaske has housed various academic departments on campus. With it's cental location on campus across from the Hamersly Library, Maaske Hall has once again, opened its doors to serve as a residence hall as of Fall of 2008.
Maaske will offer double room accommodations on its second and third floors to it's residents, with a community bathroom on each floor. The International and Student Scholars Office which will occupy the first floor. Like Arbuthnot Hall, Maaske will also offer wireless internet service (at no additional cost to its residents) for each resident and cable TV in each of its lounges. Residents living here must provide their own cell phone and service and should have a wireless card installed on their computer.
Parking permits (scroll down to parking services) are required for all on campus residents with vehicles, and Parking Lots "Q" and "J" have been designated for residents of Maaske Hall. Card-activated washers and dryers are available to residents here for laundry. Value can be added to laundry cards in the Residential Service Center. Meal Plans are required for Maaske Residents. Meal cards will work at any Campus Dining restaurants, but wholesale pricing for residence hall students is only available for purchases made in the Valsetz Dining Hall.
