Freshman
First-year students who attend Western Oregon University within one year of high school graduation are required to live
on campus. As a result, WOU now provides four residence halls (and possibly, five for the 2009-2010 academic year) specifically designed for freshman living experiences.
Heritage Hall and
Landers Hall
feature community living options which include double rooms, shared community bathrooms, and public areas for group activities.
In addition, the suite style romms of Barnum Hall and for 2009-2010, the more traditional rooms of Maaske Hall will serve as home to our freshmen residents for the academic year. In 2009-2010 there is a possibility that
Upperclass
Western Oregon University offers approximately 450 living spaces for upperclass students. Upperclass students are housed primarily in the suite style rooms of Butler Hall, Gentle Hall, the more traditional rooms of Arbuthnot Hall, and the Arbor Park Apartments , which are comprised of Cedar, Noble and Spruce Halls. These coeducational halls each house 70 to 210 students. The upperclass halls are managed by a full-time professional area coordinator and a staff of ten resident assistants.
