Hall Hosts at Western Oregon University

Just what IS a Hall Host?

The primary purpose of the Hall Host position is to provide prospective students and their families the opportunity to meet a current on campus student, learn about on campus living and view rooms in first year residence halls through daily tours. You will also assist with on-campus events such as Preview Days and on-campus visits coordinated by the Admissions office.

Hall Host Qualifications

  • The individual(s) selected to serve as Hall Host will be a traditional first year student, (within one year of graduation from high school) who will live on-campus in one of our First Year residence halls, Heritage, Landers, Barnum or Ackerman Hall.

  • In addition, the Hall Host(s) will:

    • Maintain Good Academic Standing while attending Western Oregon University
    • Demonstrate Strong High School Leadership Experience
    • Have no continuing record of disciplinary action
    • Follow guidelines established by the University
    • Model appropriate behavior relative to conduct.
