WHAT is a First-Year Liaison and what do they do?

The Residence Hall Association created the First-Year Liaison position to help give voice to the first-year students living on campus at Western Oregon University. As a First-Year Liaison leader, you will work closely with other residence hall leaders to plan events designed to create community amongst your first-year peers and the residential community at large.

As part of the nationally recognized Residence Hall Association, you will advocate, program and support the hall governments that serve and represent the residential student body, and in doing so develop your own leadership skills and ultimately determine the quality and scope of your own college experience.

Interested? Want to develop your leadership skills while helping to foster a sense of community with and among your fellow first-year students? See the list of qualifications for this position below.
