Program Overview
The Multicultural Recruiters program was created to assist with the recruitment and retention of students of color at Western Oregon University. MCRs, as the students of the program are more affectionately known, work directly with Multicultural Student Services & Programs and the Office of Admissions during several programs throughout the year such as Making College Happen, the Cesar E. Chavez Leadership Conference, African American Youth Leadership Conference, and many more. This program serves as a way for current students to reach out to high schools students and assist them in becoming more knowledgeable about the college preparation process.
Who are the Multicultural Recruiters?
Multicultural Recruiters are current WOU students that all possess great leadership qualities and a strong desire to give back to their community.
