Wellness Education Promoting wellness-related programs for the WOU community.
Throughout the year programs and promotions will be provided to students addressing a variety of wellness topics that are important to our campus community. Our goal is to offer students useful information, tools, and techniques that allow them to make personal decisions that support their health and academic goals. Stop by to get more information or pick up one of our many wellness resources.
Wellness Resources
WOU Student Health 101 New in 2012, this free, interactive digital health and wellness resource is provided by the WOU Student Health & Counseling Center each month. Students have access to a wealth of wellness information, including videos, recipes, articles and more. Students also have the opportunity to win a monthly prize of $1000 for their feedback.

Campus Wellness Challenge (CWC) CWC offers monthly campus events and online tools to address student wellness through a holistic approach to wellness. Students can use our personalized online activity and nutrition trackers, while our CWC web site offers information and resources to help students achieve their best wellness in these areas: physical, mental, academic, social, environmental and spiritual wellness.

Involvement Opportunities with Wellness Education Looking for a way to get involved and make a difference in your community? Our center has some great options for students interested in helping the WOU community become a healthier, safer place for everyone.
Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) SHAC is composed of students, faculty and staff that provide insight and provide guidance to the SHCC director regarding student needs and services. This board also addresses campus health concerns by evaluating campus policies and using health promotions to bring awareness about these concerns to the community of WOU.

Peer Mentors The WOU Peer Mentor Program works to help new students make a successful transition to college by offering personal support and campus resources. Mentors also provide wellness programming ot the campus, and in their freshmen communities. The Peer Mentor office is located in the Residential Services Center, near the residence halls. Annual mentor selection occurs each winter term.

WOU Green Dot The WOU Green Dot program encourages students to learn the tools necessary to help themselves and their peers reduce violence in our campus community.
