  • To provide a time and space for students managing the loss of a loved one
  • To learn more about the grieving process and to gather additional information and coping strategies
  • Share with others about their losses and connect with those who have had similar experiences
  • This group takes place during lunch hours; participants are welcome to bring their lunch

The Student Health and Counseling Center welcomes their new Director, Dr. Michelle J. Cox. Dr. Cox, or Michelle, as she prefers to be called, returns to our campus after a 6-year stint teaching in the Graduate Department of Counseling at George Fox University. In addition to being a WOU alumnus ('89), Michelle completed her Master's of Counseling internship in our Counseling Center and was hired immediately after as a Professional Counselor before leaving to pursue her doctorate. Michelle loves this campus and meeting students so take the time to say hello or send her an email at coxm@wou.edu!
