Green Dot Definition:

A green dot is any behavior, choice, word or attitude that promotes safety for everyone and communicates utter intolerance for sexual violence, partner violence and stalking.

Simply: Green Dot is your individual choice at any given moment to make our campus a safer place.

Definition of Power-Based Personal Violence:

Power-based personal violence is a form of violence that has as a primary motivator the assertion of power, control and/or intimidation in order to harm another. This includes partner violence, sexual assault‚ stalking‚ and other uses of force‚ threat‚ intimidation‚ or harassment of an individual. It also includes the use of alcohol or drugs to commit any of these acts. Men can be victims of power-based personal violence as well, and this kind of violence can happen in straight, gay and lesbian relationships, meaning offender and victim can be of either sex.
