Western Oregon Rugby (WOR) was established in 2001 by several ambitious students. Their investment in the club has grown to become one of the most competative DII Collegiate teams in the Northwest. The Western Oregon Rugby Footbal Club, as it is officially known is currently a part of the Pacific Northwest Rugby Football Union (PNRFU). WOR is currently in a league with other colleges such as Souther Oregon, Boise State, Idaho State, Montana, and Montana State.

The rugby season is played starting in late September through March, with playoffs and Regionals and Nationals in late March and April-May as well. The season consists of a Fall and Winter term following loosly with the colleges school schedule. Each team will meet once in the fall and once in the winter with other friendlies between as well.

The standings of each league are determined by the teams with the most wins within their league, followed by a points ratio if nessesary. The winning teams from each of the three leagues of PNRFU will then meet at the end of the winter term for a playoff match along with a wild card team from one of the three leagues. From there the team with two wins will go on to play at Regional and possibly a National playoff games.
