Western Oregon Rugby (WOR) was established in 2001 by several ambitious students. Their investment in the club had grown to become one of the most competative DII Collegiate teams in the Northwest until moving up to a DI league. The Western Oregon Rugby Footbal Club, as it is officially known is currently a part of the Northwest Collegiate Rugby Conference (NCRC).

The rugby season is split into two seperate seasons, the first starting in late September going through mid November and is 7's games and tournaments. The second season is 15's starts late Janurary and goes to mid March, with playoffs and Regionals and Nationals in April. The 15's schedule consists of each team playing every team in their conference and then going to playoffs.
