Strategies for finding an internship

65% of internships are found through connections or by targeting specific companies. Most of us don’t have direct contacts in the company of our dreams, so here are some strategies to use:

  • Building a professional network

  • Informational Interviewing

  • Meet with a career counselor ~ find out if they have connections or suggestions on who to contact.  Call 503-838-8432 to make an appointment.

  • Great article on pursuing an internship:  How to get an internship

Search on Wolflink - the listings are all from employers seeing WOU students and you competition is often minimal.  Check often, new listings weekly!
