Students participating in Alternative Winter Break will be traveling to Seattle, WA by van. The team will be participating in volunteer activities throughout Seattle. Students will be able to experience the Seattle area through a service learning approach by assisting needs in hospitals, food banks, and/or shelters.

Students participating in this Alternative Spring Break will be traveling to Denver, Colorado by van. Students will volunteer at the local food bank distribution center to help fight hunger. The team will enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Colorado while giving a helping hand in the communities.

Participants will travel by van to San Diego, CA over Spring Break. Students may participate in a variety of service opportunities such as cleaning group facilities, helping homeless youth, and planning youth activities.

 

Hurricane Relief Efforts: (click here for our photo page)

Students participating on this team will have the opportunity to fly to the gulf coast of Texas. Students will be taking part of a vast array of volunteering activities in order to assist victims of Hurricane Ike. Possible activities include helping with community clean up, building houses, and/or helping at an orphanage.

Students will be traveling to Africa during summer break by plane. Possible service projects include working with an orphanage, helping to fight against disease, and/or aiding to underdeveloped communities.

 

La Tortuga Feliz : (to see our photo page click here)

The summer trip to Costa Rica will allow students to get a glimpse into the Latin American culture as well as to take part in saving the endangered Leatherback sea turtles. Students will possibly be patrolling beaches and/or working hands-on with the creatures to ensure their survival.
