Common Ground (photo page click here) Participants flew to New Orleans, LA and worked with Common Ground. Common Ground Relief's mission is to provide short term relief for victims of hurricane disasters in the gulf coast region, and long term support in rebuilding the communities affected in the New Orleans area.
The Storefront (photo page click here) This team was able to work with The Storefront while in San Diego. As the only emergency homeless shelter for youth ages 12-17, The Storefront provides a unique and extremely positive service to the community. Not only does it provide shelter to homeless teens, it actively helps them stay off the streets. As a result of The Storefront programs and staff, many youth change the direction of their lives in a positive way as they are placed in long term safe environments. The team focused their time at The Storefront by providing activities for the youth.
Forgotten People Foundation (photo page click here) Team members provided an orphanage with basic medical supplies, toys, and clothes. Human interaction was the basic key in making the residents smile! A visit to a rural school was unforgettable!
