WOU Leader Corps

 

The purpose of the WOU Leader Corps Program is to foster interest in and create opportunities for WOU students, faculty, and staff to volunteer. WOU Leader Corps members will spearhead the development and implementation of service projects to engage WOU constituents in the local community. Members have the opportunity to serve and have fun along side other WOU volunteers. Leaders will also increase self-knowledge, broaden their perspective of the world around them, and network within the community.

 

WOU Leader Corps Program Requirements:

  • Maintain a GPA of 3.00 or better
  • Recruit and manage WOU Student Volunteers Club
  • Participate in at least two of the following:
    • WOU Alternative Break Program
    • WOU Service Learning Scholars
    • Students in Service Program
  • Complete 300 hours of service in a calendar year
  • Meet regularly with SLCD staff
  • Organize and implement at least on service learning / volunteer project for WOU volunteers
